Amdiya Abdul Latif is a menstrual health advocate, an Eco-feminist and a social innovator with over 7 years experience championing gender equity and community development in under-served areas in Ghana.
She is currently the founding Director of Eco-Me Africa and RuGirlz EMS , two social impact driven organizations working to fix the menstrual health and waste challenges in Ghana.
Passionate about keeping girls in school, Amdiya has researched, designed and developed a groundbreaking product,EcoPeriod which is an innovative high quality eco friendly reusable sanitary pad that is empowering women and girls with healthy, dignity and opportunities to reach their full potential in a way that protects the environment.
Amdiya is a 2023 Mandela Washington Fellow and her other recognitions include Female-Led Green Business 22’ award recipient, YALI Sustainability Excellence and Community Engagement Award winner among others
